One to Ones continued

It is really important that in the first three weeks of Term 2 that al personal tutors make time within classes for a one to one catch up with all learners. This one to one should cover:

  • Grades and information from the December reports

  • Progress being made

  • Targets to help learning move forward and to keep you motivated to achieve and get the best possible results.

Whilst undertaking one to ones all learners can follow the work below:

Where can you find out about Jobs?

Have a look at this website: Careers Wales

  • Have you been on here before?

  • What kind of opportunities can you see on this site?

  • Find three vacancies in Wrexham (your tutor will able to help you if you get stuck)

What other ways can you find out about full time jobs?

Research:

From the Careers Wales website - find out what apprenticeships are and whether this might be a route that interests you.

What Level 2 courses are you interested in at College?

Discuss as a class and with your PT:

  • What course you are interested in doing next year?

  • What do you know about the course you want to do?

  • What careers can it lead to?

  • What have you done so far about enrolling?

  • What are your next steps to help you get on to the course you are interested in?
