Week 4 & 5: Developing Good Learning Habits - Resilience
Can you think of some one famous who failed and then came back and did even better?
Here are some famous people. Find out how they failed and then came back to be even better than they were before.

Think about a time when you failed at something.

How did you feel? What did you learn?

Discuss this as a group.
1. Research - Watch this video and discuss who this person is and how he failed and then succeeded.
2. Need more examples? Look at the powerpoint below
3. Discuss what all three of these people have in common?
4. Look at the last slide in the power point again. What does it mean 'you learn by failing'?
5 Try thinking of a time when you failed, but then learned from this and did it better the next time around?
6. Look again at your initial action plan and the goals you set for this year.
7. Watch this short video. Then discuss:

What are the things could stop you from doing well in College?

How can you work around these barriers to help you do well?

8. With your tutor, as a group, discuss the things you could try when you're stuck to get unstuck (Resilience).
