Week 32: Applying for University via UCAS

We first looked at applying for university in April, when we asked you to research which HE courses you would like apply for and the entry requirements. To do more reasearch on university courses and other options including apprenticeships, go first to uni-frog

Each tutor group has a unique form code which all personal tutors have received.

Get this from your personal tutor and type it into the ‘form code box’.

Then complete all personal information.

 UCAS

  • Go to the UCAS Website and learn more about university applications

  • Remember that the most prestigious universities are part of the Russell Group - it may be worth considering these if you feel that you can get the entry grades required.

  • Discuss course options and careers with your Personal Tutor

  • You will need the details (as below) for five university choices.

​Completing Your UCAS Application Form

 

Get your Buzzword from your Personal Tutor, also available from Student Services and the Learning Zone.

 

Now start to fill in your application on UCAS   

 

You will need to register

 

Things you’ll need for the application form:

 

If you are considering applying to Oxford, Cambridge, Dental and Medicine, VET medicine courses

 

IMPORTANT - BY JULY 2016

 

You need  to:

  • Tell your Personal Tutor. This is important as the external deadline is early Autumn

  • Begin working on your UCAS application and personal statement, ready for early UCAS application. This will need to be finalised with the payment to UCAS madefor the College to complete its part of the application process.
