Presenting information and new ideas needn't be the teacher delivering a powerpoint. There are both teacher activities and learner activities you can use to make this part of the session really interactive.
Flip It!
Get learners preparing videos and multimedia presentations to share with each other on aspects of information they have learned on line. Use research activities for homework to develop interactive information sessions where learners learn from each other. Check out the learner led information activities below:

Market Place
Get learners to research and present different topics to each other in a market place stall. Each group could develop a flip chart poster with key points of their research and all learners could move around the room using a worksheet to gather the main points from each flip chart.

Get learners moving around tables and groups adding their knowledge to big sheets of cafe style paper
Learning Cells
Students work in pairs and alternate asking questions on class materials to each other. It is best to randomly match up the students in class and keep shuffling the pairings. This motivates students to arrive adequately prepared. Formulating and preparing for questions contribute to quick mastery of course content.
